Delicate, floral, and quietly complex—this Ethiopia is a lot worth slowing down for.

At this light roast, soft blackberry and wildflower-like lavender lead the cup, carried on a silky, aromatic texture with a gentle wash of honey underneath. The fruit stays vivid and clear rather than heavy, giving the whole cup a bright, lifted quality.

It's a coffee best suited to pour over or filter brewing, where its clarity and delicate florals can really come through.

This lot comes from Bette Buna ("House of Coffee"), an Ethiopian exporter working closely with smallholder farming communities across southern Ethiopia, including Taferi Kela in Sidamo. Farmers here cultivate coffee on small plots and focus on carefully harvesting only ripe cherries.

Bette Buna supports these communities through training in sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, and post-harvest practices, and operates a nursery that distributes climate-adapted seedlings each year. In more remote areas, farmers are trained to harvest and dry their coffee at home, using techniques ranging from drying on the ground to raised beds. This lot is a selection from farmers who have excelled at home natural processing—dried, locally milled, then transported to Bette Buna's dry mill near Addis Ababa for final cleaning and sorting before export.

Careful hands, careful drying—it shows in every cup.
